The Coach Steve Clark PhD Show
With Stanford Women’s Head Coach Lele Forood and Associate Head Coach Frankie Brennan
Hello everyone, welcome to The Coach Steve Clark PhD Show where the aim is to encourage, inspire and equip coaches, players and parents who in turn inspire and equip others to promote tennis, foster sportsmanship, and develop greater players and people. So thanks for joining me and I hope you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the conversation.
This podcast is from a series of interviews of intended to glean from elite program coaching duos, looking into the dynamics of Head Coach/Assistant coaches and how they work together in recruiting, player development, fundraising, promotional areas to name a few. Often these coaches have very different approaches but complement each other. Join Champion coach and player Lele Forood (The Peter and Helen Bing Director of women’s tennis ) and her long-time, Asst. Associate Head Coach Frankie Brennan. You will benefit from what they have to say regarding juniors, collegiate, and professional tennis, parents, and recruiting to name a few.
As you will hear even from the introduction in the conversation, what Lele brings to the Stanford program is nothing short of the best. On the WTA and ATP tour, there are discussions of who is the GOAT, the greatest of all time in terms of the WTA and ATP. In collegiate women’s tennis, there is no debate. The greatest of all time women’s program is Stanford Women’s tennis. In some areas it set the bar for any sport at any level, men or women: e.g. there was a run of 12 years that the Cardinal women did not lose a home match. 12 years! Sit back and relax. You will enjoy this conversation. (The sound quality is a bit old but the content from Lele and Frankie is tremendous.)
